RELATE Summer Workshop Application

Check back in late spring for updates on the our upcoming STEM Communication Fundamentals Workshop

RELATE invites you to participate in an intensive communication training workshop. The workshop is designed for STEM graduate students and postdocs with a defined research project. If you are interested in improving your communication skills and engaging in scientific communication with lay audiences, then the RELATE workshop is for you!

If you participate in the STEM Communication Fundamentals Workshop, you will:

  • Learn effective lay-audience communication fundamentals, such as knowing your audience and telling a story with your research

  • Build a polished short talk, aimed at a lay audience, on your research project or an area of interest in your field

  • Practice your developing communication skills with public engagement and outreach opportunities

If you are interested in participating in the workshop, we will have required information sessions in late Spring 2019. Each information session will cover more details about the STEM Communication Fundamentals Workshop and the application process. The application will open after these information sessions.
